Pascal Compute PreemptionPreemption at the instruction-level provides finer grain control over compute tasks to prevent long-running applications from either monopolizing system resources or timing out
The Quadro P2000 is the perfect balance of performance, compelling features, and compact form factor delivering incredible creative experience and productivity across a variety of professional 3D applications. It features a Pascal GPU with 1024 CUDA cores, large 5 Gb GDDR5 on-board memory, and the power to drive up to four 5K (5120x2880 @ 60Hz). So, I removed the GRFX card, added in the p2000, uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the quadro drivers. Still no go, still only encoding with HW, not encoding and the grfx card is doing it slow. I’m on the step where I uninstall PLEX Media Server and reinstall with the Quadro in. Lastly, For baseline reference, my full system; HP Z620 (boot block 2013), 1x Xeon E5-2667 v2 (8C/16T, 3.3/4GHz), 64GB Hynix PC3-14900R 1866MHz, PNY Quadro P2000 5GB GDDR5 (PCIe slot 5), PALIT GeForce GTX 1080TI FE 11GB GDDR5X (PCIe slot 2), Samsung 256GB SM951 SSD (via ASUS HYPER M.2 X4 MINI PCIe adapter – PCIe slot 4) UEFI boot disc, 480GB.
5GB GDDR5 Memory CapacityDrive up to four 5K displays simultaneously(5120x2880 @ 60Hz). Increase bandwidth by up to 20% by reducing the amount of data fetched from memory for each frame with 4th generation
DisplayPort 1.4
- DP 1.4 provides twice the bandwidth of the previous generation
- Drive up to four 5K displays simultaneously
- HDR support displays 2x the visible colors resulting in brighter, more saturated images
Multiple Display
Combine up to four Quadro GPUs in one system to simplify the deployment of display walls or other immersive display environments

Creation and playback of HDR video with 4K @ 60Hz 10b/12b HEVC encode and 4K @ 60Hz 10b HEVC decode engines
- 64x full scene antialiasing (FSAA)
- Up to 16 K x 16 K texture and render processing
- Support Shader Model 5.1/OpenGL 4.5/DirectX 12.0/Vulkan 1.0
- 32-bit per-component floating point texture filtering and blending
- 16x angle independent anisotropic filtering
Anisotropic filtering improves the clarity and crispness of textured objects in rendering. Textures are images containing various types of data such as color, transparency, reflectivity, and bumps (normals) that are mapped to an object and processed by the GPU in order to give it a realistic appearance on your screen
